This trip lasted 17 days and covered 7,434km. The goal was to attend the BMW Motorcycle Owner's Association Rally in Des Moines, meet up with Brent for a few days there then slowly work my way home.

Met Jim who was camped nearby. He's from Huntsville, ON and has been to the MOA rally many times. He was very helpful to a rally noob like myself.

by evening, camping was filling up. Attendance was 4,500 and most people camped, though, some did it in RVs.

Found this dealer near Brossard, QC, I was going to need oil tor the upcoming oil change.
Stayed again at the little family campground just west of Montreal. The camper next to me came right over to look at the bike and offer me a beer!
I met him in QC, he'd just had this a few weeks, had been a long-time R1200 rider.
